Workshops: Workshop Elements
While the workshops are the 'glamorous' parts of this program, the translation to everyday working
relationships is never forgotten.
Each person completes a profile which provides a guide to the levels of motivation, stress, appreciation, and the quality of team relationships. A series of activities are introduced which enable people to improve scores. These are driven primarily by the team leaders.
These profile scores can be used to collate information on motivation, stress levels and the quality of relationships across a department. Team leaders meet to support each other and be creative in driving this forward.
This enables ownership for the Winning Relationships in the Workplace™ (WR) initiative to be passed from external consultants to the participating organization. This is further promoted by the appointment of a sponsor, an owner, and drivers.
A sponsor essentially is a significant person in the organization who promotes and supports the values behind the WR program.
The owner is a key person to move the initiative forward. The owner not only coaches and supports the drivers, but facilitates a program of team WR activities growing the skills, mindsets and experiences begun on the formal workshops.
Usually drivers are the team leaders who follow a program of one to one WR activities which dovetail with the owner activities. Owners and drivers are trained in the programs and can be provided with all the resources required for the facilitated activities. In these ways the organization is growing its people and creating models of Winning Relationships in the Workplace™ excellence.
It is also possible to run workshops for large numbers with the follow through work being done by in-house facilitators.
